We Christians believe the Bible to be the Word of God and the eternal source of truth we live by.

The Statements in these two Seminaries statement of faith represent what we would believe about the authority of the Bible.

DBTS, statement of Faith, The Scriptures; August 18, 2011

We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible (1 cor 2:13; 2 Tim 3:16; 2 Pet 1:21; Rev 22:18-19),the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament canon which, being inerrant in the original manuscripts (Matt 5:18; 24:35; John 10:35; 17:17),is the final authority on all matters of faith and practice and any other subject on which it touches (Isa 8:20; Matt 5:18; 24:35; John 10:35; 2 Tim 3:16-17).

Wheaton College Statement of Faith, Article Two; October 17, 1992

We believe that God has revealed Himself and His truth in the created order, in the Scriptures, and supremely in Jesus Christ; and that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing, so that they are fully trustworthy and of supreme and final authority in all that they say.
